Is Holmes Beach a good walking beach ?

We stayed at Bali Hai a few years back, and seems that I remember the beach was not so good to take walks on ? Is that true ?

If you walk just above the water line it is great. The sand is very soft, so walking higher along the beach will give your legs a really good workout, but at the water line the sand is more firmly packed.

The entire beach is easy to walk on. When the tide is out there is a large 100 foot area of hard pack to walk on. You probably could walk 5 miles south of Bali Hai and approximately 2 miles North.

I agree that the entire beach is very easy to walk on. If you have sensitive soles then you should wear sand shoes or similar - even an old pair of sneakers.
