hollywood, the best choice?

We are coming to Florida in December for 2 nights, is Hollywood beach the best area to stay with 2 kids. Like the idea of being able to walk to the beach and broadwalk. Can you rec hotel/condo?

Very good choice. Most of the mom & pop places are on the b'walk and beach. Beach is fully guarded Blue Wave rated, with very small waves ( unless stormy) and a very slow slope level into the water.

B'walk has sections for rollerblading, it has bike lanes for using your bike (rentals are available)

There is a bike rental place right next to the Atlantic Sands & Carribean

apartment rental who has special rates for 2 to 7 days ( mainly timeshare users). Also right next to two restaurants ( Angleos & B'Walk Pizza, an ice cream store, the beachfront park, the handball & paddle ball courts. ( Also live AM music at the park & PM music 3 blocks S on B'walk ( past Nicks) at the B'walk theater.

I know the Atlantic Sands has free use of unbrellas and chairs...if any are availabile. Not sure how that works at the other rental places.

Need to realize some places on the beach MAY not let you stay only 2 days. But if Early Dec...its not the busy time yet.
