Estero Bay water conditions

I'll be in the area vacationing next week and would like to try some charter fishing in Estero Bay. What are the current water conditions in regard to clarity? Have recent Lake O releases had an affect on fishing there?

the water is HOT. probably running 90-92 degrees right now. lots of baitfish in the water. fish are still biting but it is a slower bite. snook, mangrove snapper and gag groupers are all still around. occasional trout to be had on the flats. are you taking a charter?

Yes, I have a charter lined up for Wednesday. I did this last year in July after enormous releases from Lake O. It turned out to be a less than desirable experience. The water was brown and the fish were not biting. In short, a waste of money. I don't want a repeat of that experience. Thanks for your input.
