Groceries

Is there any advantage to going off island for better grocery prices? I know Bonita has a store.

Not if you go to a chain store like Publix or Winn Dixie. FMB is not like Sanibel Island.

If you are here off-season when it is quick and easy to get on and off the island, you may save a little by going to Target, about 4 miles or so up San Carlos Blvd. If you are here during season, the long lines of traffic make it difficult to travel and so it would save you time (and therefore value) just to shop at Topps or Publix on FMB. The prices may be a little bit higher on the island, but not so much as to offset the time savings.

If you come onto the island from the southend from Bonita Beach Rd you can stop at the publix on the corner of 41 and Bonita Beach Rd on your way to FMB and then just fill in for extras at the publix on the island.

Thanks,

We are coming soon and my wife works for Target. With a Target debit card it saves us 15%.
