There is not much there, we drive through there all the time and it seems fine with quite a bit of construction going on.

As long as you know that you will need to drive or take the bus to the beach, and that bridge does back up.

If it is after Thanksgiving weekend you will be fine. Thanksgiving weekend is very busy and the traffic over the bridge will be slow and bumper to bumper. If you are coming Thanksgiving week I would look for a place to stay on on the island.

Summerlin Road and San Carlos Blvd is safe.

However, do you have any interest in a beach front vacations?

Is a lower income area but definitely safe most of the time. There's a few "strange birds" roaming around but they have never given us any trouble. That's typical for an island area anyway.
