The Improv at Seminole

Girls night out. Thinking about The Improv for a Friday night.

#1.. Would like to know if this is a decent / safe area? ( have never been there)

# 2.. Is this easy to get to driving wise?

# 3.. Parking?

Any other info about the area / establishment would be helpful.

Thank you

The Mai Kai is not located by the improv, its nearly 30 mins Northeast. The improv is fun and I find the Hardrock to be very safe, whatever you do, don't eat at the Mexican restaurant there, it's disgusting!

As Alycia has noted, the Mai Kai is a restaurant in another area far away area of town with no relationship whatsoever to the Hard Rock Casino. Alycia,,have you been to the newest restaurant at Hard Rock called Bol? I know no one who has.I believe it is Asian inspired. I truly think I'd stick with a tried and true casual place at Hard Rock like Hard Rock Café or Johnny Rockets..both for price and dependable , even ifnot outstanding .food choices. When the restaurants at Hard Rock are bad, they are usually very bad and overpriced to boot in my opinion. The horrible seafood one we tried there once seems to be ( thankfully) gone..There have been a lot of restaurant openings there over the years that have failed.

I have not been there yet Lulu, but I don't like dining at the Hardrock there are so many other better restaurants in Ft Laud and Hollywood that I prefer to dine elsewhere before visiting the Hardrock.

Also, a friend worked at the sushi restaurant called Tatu (I don't know if its still there or not) but he said it was FILTHY. He ended up quitting after just over a week bc he was so disgusted by their practices. After hearing that and having a bad experience at the Mexican place I just avoid eating there altogether.

The name of the parking garage at the complex that should place you closest to the Paradise complex ( the part of the Hard Rock complex where the Improv is ) is Lucky Street, so you could look for that once you enter their grounds.

Ok great! We feel so much better having this information. The things a map just doesn't tell you.

This is going to fall under "other info about the area/establishment". I checked out a show at the Improv about a year-and-a-half ago, and it is actually quite large for a comedy club. It was a loud, raucous good time! My one tip would be to make sure you get your drink orders in when you get there; the waitstaff were pretty busy, and I only got one drink order in. Plus, to be fair, your attention will be focused with the main comedy act once it gets underway (hopefully you'll be wiping tears of laughter from your eyes!), and the last thing you'll want to do is divert your attention toward flagging down a passing waiter!

There is a lot to do at the Hard Rock if you and your friends just wander about. It is all very well-lit and safe. I've had a grand ol' time hopping from Murphy's Law to some other spot right around the corner with drinking/dancing, to the poker room, to a Mediterranean place with hookah out front and requisite Friday night belly dancer.

Have fun!
