As you are entering the suburbs of Fort Lauderdale on 595E, you pass some exits, Flamingo, Hiatus, Pine Island. after these follow the exit for SR 84East, after you go over the bridge of I-95 you will be in the vicinity of the airport, on the north side. You will see many cheap gas stations. After getting gas, continue East on SR 84 and follow signs to airport, you will be just 5 min. away.
Yes, I was going to suggest the Race Trac on St. Rd 84 ( south side) and you should be anle to exit on to 84 East after you pass the I-95 exits- I can't recall if it is marked Route 84, Marina Mile or both It parallels I-595 and has lots of gas stations.
Thanks so much for your helpful information.
This map may help you navigate to the Race Trac which generally has terrific prices and many pumps. Hope the link works!( edited to say it does work even if only part appears live)
Thanks, the link worked perfectly. It gave me an excellent look at where we will get gas and then continue on to the airport.

RE: #9 --- This is terrific. I also use a phone app - GasBuddy which is nice to have on your phone when you don't have computer access.
