directions from Birmingham

We have been following the directions below for years but we always get sidetracked either right before the toll bridge or after....it is when there is a sign saying that the GPS may be off (I think there was construction there at some point). Please help so we won't make the same mistake when coming this year.

Directions to Sandestin

Take exit 114 from I-65 turning east to Georgiana on Hwy 106

Go approx. 3 miles on 106 to Hwy 31

Turn right on Hwy 31. Hwy 31 joins with Hwy 55. Stay on 55 to Andalusia, approx 30 miles total for 31 and 55

Turn right onto Hwy 55 and Hwy 29 in Andalusia. Stay on Hwy 29 for 12 miles.

Turn left onto Hwy 137 for 14 miles.

Hwy 137 turns into Florida 189 for 14 miles.

Hwy 189 turns into Hwy 4 in town of Baker. Stay on Hwy 4 for 5 miles and T intersection

Turn left at T onto Hwy 90 for 1 mile.

Turn Right onto Antioch Road

Take Antioch Road for 6 miles to stoplight at Hwy 85

Turn right on FL85 to Niceville and go 15 miles to Hwy 20

Left, east, on Hwy 20 approx 6 miles to Hwy 293

(I THINK WE GET LOST HERE RIGHT BEFORE WE GET TO THE BRIDGE OR IT MAY BE AFTER...IT IS WHEN THERE IS A SIGN SAYING THAT GPS DIRECTIONS ARE OFF...)

Right on Hwy 293 (Midbay Bridge) $2.50 toll

Cross bay 6 miles to Stoplight at Hwy 98

Left on Hwy 98 approx. 7 miles to main Sandestin entrance.(Look for two tone water tower)

Turn right into main entrance. Take immediate right into Guest Registration

If you havent updated your GPS - do not follow it when it tells you to turn off Rt 20 - take it straight to the east until you see 293.(Just east of Bluewater Bay) There is a sign that will lead you up the ramp to 293 south and it will take you directly to the bridge. Just follow the signage there.
