Tops'l or Silver Beach

My family and I have been traveling to Destin for 30 + years and have stayed in many different condos. My mother is now confined to a wheelchair & we've been staying at the wheelchair accessible Emerald Grande. However we're now looking for a place that's on the beach/has better beach access. We love the awesome kid friendly pool at eHmerald grande, the easy access to stores, & room service while still staying in a condo, not a hotel. I am considering Tops'l or Silver Beach for our next trip. Can anyone give pros & cons of both places? Thank you for your help!

Silver Beach is a newer condo development with both buildings right on the beach and is in the heart of Destin. It is a very short walk to the beach and the condos are quite luxurious. Tops'l is an older and much larger development. Some of the buildings are quite a distance to the the beach and have limited gulf views. Quality of condos varies a great deal. Tops'l is also further away. I don't know about wheel chair accessibility at either place. We have stayed at Silver Beach and loved it.

Within Tops'l Resort there are some significant elevation changes that may be an issue for the person(s) assisting with the wheelchair.
