Beaches of South Walton Update Post-Hurricane Dennis

If you have reservations for travel to the area, please contact the property management office you made your reservation with directly to inquire about the status. Walton County is working diligently to restore power and phone lines to affected areas.
If you are looking to make a reservations, most accommodations are accepting reservations now or will begin on Thursday, 7/14.
While there is some damage to beach front homes, most rental properties in Beaches of South Walton are operational or will be by Thursday. Our beaches suffered severe beach erosion and all 56 public dune walkovers were damaged. We will be directing visitors to public beach accesses, such as Grayton Beach, that all do not require dune walkovers to access the beach. A full list is posted to this Web site.
The beaches are currently closed due to debris and water conditions and will open effective 7 am, Thursday, July 14, however the water will remain closed. A double red flag remains in effect to advise beachgoers to stay out of the water due to floating storm debris that may still be washing ashore. The beaches will re-open for swimming when conditions permit. The flag poles that advise on water conditions were destroyed by the storm, so beachgoers should watch the local media and/or visit www.seemoresafetycrab.com for current conditions.
