From their website... July 12
It appears in our current assessments that El Matador Condominium has come through another big wind intact and will continue to accept visitors to the Emerald Coast. We are going to try to be ready for check-ins on Saturday July 16, 2005. This is going to be largely based on when we can get power restored. Santa Rosa Blvd. has been cleared and is in good shape. The El Matador Association and some Emmco staff, working together, have surveyed most units by now and they have found little or no damage. The back pool will likely be open soon after power is restored and the beachside pool will probably follow soon after though it will take a bit more work. The recently rebuilt beach walkovers were washed away, but the shape of the dunes allows for easy beach access. The beach itself is still wide; while some erosion has naturally occurred it is not where near as bad as the reports we have seen of Destin.
Most of the local restaurants are open even today with the others soon to follow. Highway 98 to Destin is being repaired and will likely have two lanes open by the end of the week.
