Many (but not all) hotels charge extra for parking.

If you go to an event at the Ocean Center or Peabody Auditorium, there will be pay parking lots and a big (also pay) parking deck.

I'm pretty sure that county beach parks have free parking. That's been the case in the past.

Except for Nov.-Feb., there's a $5 fee to drive and park on the beach.

Parking in the Main Street area may be tight.

Parking for races at the International Speedway is a complex topic that I can't explain.

I hope that's a useful starter. I'm sure an Expert will be along to provide corrections.

I think the short version would be that parking's no big deal. I'm partial to Frank Rendon (next door to a nice hotel) and Sun Splash county parks.

I would park in the county owned parking garage on Earl Street. Directly across the street from Ocean Walk Shoppes and the Hilton Oceanfront Resort. Put 601 Earl St., Daytona Beach in your GPS. Will put you at the front door!

Parking at Sun Splash parks is free, and.........you can rinse yourself off, your sandals etc, no sand in the car...can't beat that

Hi,

Where did you park, out of curiosity, as we are doing the same day trip from Orlando in a few weeks and I have the same concerns you had.
