So disappointing! Just returned from an uneventful night.
..."come taste the many authentic food samplings including crawfish, jambalaya, gumbo, beignets and much more!"
No food at ALL,...other than restaurants selling things.
They did have several vendors selling mixed drinks (limited) and beer, soda, & water...but of course quite expensive.
We arrived at 5pm and like everyone else, just kinda wandered around till the parade began at 9pm. It lasted a total of ten minutes.
I bought my $8 ticket in advance, but others had to pay $12 at the gate. I heard people (as they were walking around and waiting for the parade to start) complaining about how lame it was and what in the world did the ticket pay for anyway!!
On a positive note, the weather was PERFECT, so the fresh air made for a wonderful evening after all.
