wedding on Sand Key Beach

Has anyone recently been married at Sand Key beach?

If so, which company did you book through.

We are looking to to get married in April 2014 and looking to get as much information and help as possible as we live in the UK.

Ideally we would like a wedding at sunset then the reception to follow on the beach.

Any help would be appreciated

I don't have much info, but I have heard from several people that have enjoyed a wedding on SK.

There is a very nice Sheraton Hotel http://sheratonsandkey.com/ right next to Sand Key Park. They have wedding services, banquet rooms, and can cater the event as well. Or, if you just need a nice hotel for guests. There is also a nice Marriott just across the street on the bay.

Immediately South of the Marriott is the Columbia Restaurant. Very nice bay views, and very good Cuban/Spanish food.

SK Park is just a few minutes drive from Clearwater Beach, so all of the different hotels there would be very convenient for any of your guests.

Sorry I have no experience with any local wedding companies/planners.

Sand Key is a beautiful place for a wedding. Mine (also in April) was on the island further south in a residential area.

I can recommend two caterers who will likely be able to handle all the details or connect you with a wedding planner who can (location, flowers, music, photog, etc.). Both have been in business for a long time and have good reputations.

We were married on Sand Key Beach Park.

We did everything through Dana at Sand Key Beach Services: www.weddingsonsandkeybeach.com/weddings/

Dana was awesome. She helped us every step of the way while we planned our destination wedding from Colorado. They were MUCH MUCH more affordable than the hotels in the area. We even had our reception outside on the beach under a tent. It was a blast. Highly recommend.

We are getting married on Sand Key Beach in less than a month. We did lots of searching and reading reviews and ended up deciding on http://www.beachweddingsinflorida.com/. They had good reviews, awesome pictures and the lady was really friendly and helpful. I am planning from MN and she has even went to the courthouse and gotten our marriage license and filed it with them for us. She owns a photography studio as well. She might be worth looking into. I will let you know how well it all goes once it is over with though.

Thanks so much for ur input. I am ok with finding a planner to do the ceremony but its the reception. I am looking to have a tented reception and finding a place isn't as easy as I would have thought. Anyone have or having a tented reception on the west coast if Florida? I'm not tied to sand key, it just been the only place I could find.
