There are quite a few boat tours leaving from the Clearwater Beach Marina that specialize in dolphin-sightings. Some of them promise you will see a dolphin or your next ride is free. For more information look under "Boat Tours - Clearwater Beach" at the tourism website for St. Petersburg and Clearwater: http://floridasbeach.com .

We just got back last night. We went on the "Little Toot" and had a great experience. Would recommend trying to get in the back of the boat if possible. The nice thing is that you can stand (get great pictures) and you then also have the freedom to move around the boat. Some of them you sit in the seat the entire time. Would give "Little Toot" ****

We have also been at the end of the pier one evening around dusk and saw one playing in the surf, right by the pier. It was almost like he knew he was being watched and put on a little show for us! =) Loved it!

Johns Pass, between Madeira Beach and Treasure Island always has dolphins. We go through there by boat all the time and we see them every single time. You can take a tour boat or you can also stand out on the docks and spot them.
