is there a train from brussels to eindhout
do not have a car
You have to take a train to Diest (or Geel) and then De Lijn bus 19, see hari.b-rail.be/HAFAS/bin/stboard.exe/fn…
Direct trains to Diest depart from Bruxelles-Central (you can also go from Midi or Nord) at 40 mins past each hour on weekdays and take 55 mins, final destination is Tongeren; or you can take a train to Leuven and change there to one going to Hasselt, which stops at Diest. In either case, standard single fare is €9.60.
From Diest Station, stand ("perron") 1, De Lijn bus 19 (Diest/Tessenderlo - Geel), direction Geel, takes 26 mins to the stop Eindhout Dorp (= village), which is 5 fare zones and would cost €2 if you buy the ticket beforehand (from machine or De Lijn office), €3 if you buy it on the bus. You had better enquire of wherever you are going as to which stop would be the closest to it, as there are quite a few stops in Eindhout,
For Geel it takes 1h09 from Bruxelles-Central (43 mins past each hour), changing in Herentals onto a train coming from Antwerp (and at other times it is necessary to change in Antwerp), final destination of the trains in question is Neerpelt. Standard single fare is €10.30, and of course you would then take bus 19 in the opposite direction.
Thanks so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
