FSE....Foxwoods Super Experience

A little background first. My favorite casino destination place is FSE, Downtown Vegas. So I am going to compare the two.

I arrived at FW at 3PM after having a great lunch at some place called Chowder House III (I think). The girls and AIdan were visiting the Mystic Aquarium so I took a Jeep and headed to FW.

I checked into Great Cedars Room 735 and was feeling invincible so I headed to the buffet area. No call from anyone so I played some IGT quarter slots with a visual on the BUffet. Within a short time Foxy, who I knew from several Mega Meets in Vegas, found me. We went into a smoking section and I could hear a penny slot called Witches Brew calling my name. Lots of fun and held my own just fine. LOL

Got a call from Kgouin and we met and decided we would rather play than eat. WHOOOHOO

Well I found some quarter slots that gave me a little action and the KG and Foxy found some friendly penny slots in the same row. Well alright!! good way to start the night. We played there for 2 hours and not one of us was down. Yipppeeee.

Off to BIngo, where Kg had to show Foxy and me the ropes with BIngo machines. Lots of fun and lots of visiting. The girls kept getting me drinks so my legs wouldn't swell anymore than they already were. Bless their hearts. THis is one GIANT Bingo Hall. I told the girls if they won big I would do handsprings all the way down the center isle. They must have felt I wasn't up to it because they didn't win. Anytime I can have a M&G for 4 hours and it only costs $40 with a chance to win at least $700 a game, I am in gaming heaven. The girls both had to work Thursday so I was on my own.

Break time.

Hi Marge, I can't believe what a great time I had on this trip. It was so fantastic to see Foxy and meet Kg. TAFFs are the funnest people in the world. hehehe

I played a total of 13 hours at FW and 7 hours at MS. I also did a scenic coastal tour, a wedding , 2 local seafood restaurants, 2 buffets (1 each at FW and MS), 1 BIngo session, etc in 60 hours. Then I had to work the weekend. I am BEAT.lol

I agree with Kg. I think we should consider a Bingo M&G at FW for the East Coast girls to drive to. How far away are you?

Before Foxy left, she gave me a 2-4-1 coupon for FW Buffet so breakfast was covered. I decided to play Great Cedars Casino because my room was above it. I found several quarter slots that played and one Double Cherry that showed me a little love with a Double Cherry on the line and 2 cherries offline=$40. WHOOHOO. Played 3 hours on quarters and dropped $40. Decided to play some pennies just for fun on the way to the room elevator and found a bank of 9 line penny slots with Witches Brew, Alarm Fire, and a slot that had Hearts in the Title. I decided if I wanted some slot love before I go to bed, I would put a whole $5 through the Heart slot. lol

Well, I am betting 18 cents when the 3 jackpot symbols fall on the 3rd line. WHOOHOO. I hit a jackpot. Only $60, but I was a winner. I played up to $110 when I noticed it was after 3AM. I pushed my bet up to 45cents and played 45 minutes up and down. Finally cashed out at 345AM at $50.

Finally made it to bed around 4AM. TIRED, but HAPPY!

I woke up around 8 after some very much needed sleep. We took the 2-4-1 coupon that Foxy had given me and entered buffet. There is a Summer Breakfast Buffet Deal going on so all 3 of us got in for $11 (my grandson is only 5 and free). I would put breakfast buffet up there pretty close to Fremont and MSS. Made to order omelets, good OJ, fresh fruit and the usual scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, potatoes, cereal, and pastries. Hit the spot and kept me going half the day.

Beth went up to check us out and I headed for my little Heart 9 line penny slot. Alas, it did not want to show me any love and I dropped $20 in less than an hour. Now I know why I don't usually play pennies. lol

Overall, I had a ball at FW...

Room 735...very nice with fridge.

Quarter slots in the Smoking Casino near the BUffet...not bad at all.

Quarter slots in GCedars Casino....kept me going.

Heart Penny Slot in GCC showed me love than changed it's mind.

Summary....I started playing slots at 330PM with $130 (which was supposed to last my whole trip. LOL)

I played the first hour on quarter slots in nonsmoking near Buffet.= -$5

Played the next 1 1/2 hour on quarter slots (having a ball harrassing Foxy and KG = -$10

Played Bingo for 4 hours with Foxy and KG (got to harrass the girls here too.), but I charged the $40 so I could pretend I didn't lose that money. lol

Played quarters in GCC, largest hit Double Cherry online, 2 Cherries offline=+$40. 3 hours on quarters, I was down $20 WHOOHOO and lots of fun.

then 9line pennies for 1 1/2 hours. Even hitting $60 jackpot, I was still down $20

morning play on 9 line penny= -$20

I played a total of 12 hours at FW, appx 8 hours on slots. Dropped a total of $40 for Bingo and $90 for slots. More than I wanted but really had a good time thanks to an unconventional M&G that I hope to do again.

5. Re: FSE....Foxwoods Super Experience

Now I am going to do the comparison of FSE (Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Vegas) and FWSE (my FoxWoods Super Experience). First of all Vegas will always be the #1 Casino Destination in the world. THat said, I want to compre FSE to FXSE. Keep in mind that I live in North Central PA.

1. Transportation...FSE: 3 hour drive to airport, 2 hours at airport, 4 hour nonstop flight=9 hour minimum trip. FW: 8 hour drive

2. Scooter rental: FSE: $35. FX:$30

3. Food: FSE: $6 Champagne Brunch, $9 Prime Rib dinner, up to $25 King Crab Leg dinner. FW: seems to be much higher, but I wasn't there long enough to judge anything.

4. BIngo: FSE: $25 for 1 hour session vs FW: $40 for 4 hour session (expected loss at $10 an hour better that most slots)

5. Casino Hopping: FSE has 11 casinos within a short distance of each other. FX has 6 casinos all in 1 complex.

6. Weather: FSE can be 40-100 degrees under the canopy (been there when it snowed. lol). FW is indoors.

7. Slots: FSE and SW both have a good selection of all denominations.

8. Architecture: FSE has Old School Vegas feel with Golden Nugget as the crown jewel with it's outstanding pool and lounge aquariums). FW has great sculptures and well maintained property (I didn't get to see enough of FW on my short stay)

9. M&Gs. FSE has very reasonable buffets, Lounges, Restaurants, and SLots for venues for M&Gs. FW worked out well for our slot and BIngo M&Gs.

10. Fun Factor. FSE has that wonderful light show canopy with all those kiosks and Street Party atmosphere with live music. FW has that huge High Stakes BIngo hall, the most slots I have ever seen, a good vibe in the casinos, and good CW service. i was happy.

TAFFs (TA Forum Folks) are famous for their M&Gs. Sometimes you just can't get to Vegas. I found FW worked out GREAT me. The hotel sits over the casino (I love to sneak down in the middle of the night). Hope to do it again.

Great trip report Benny!

I have been wanting to go to Foxwoods/MS for years but the high room prices and long drive have been keeping me away. I saw that you came down to the Meadows one day this summer and I am sorry I missed you, I saw your post after your trip. If I saw it I could have warned you Ha Ha. I was in Vegas 2 weeks before you and am going to AC the first week in Oct. and I see you are planning for the end of the month. Anyway, I thought you said that after you went to AC last year that you wouldn't be able to go anywhere and I see you have been just about EVERYWHERE! What gives Benny, LOL! Anyway, glad to see you had a great time at FW. Ahhhh, maybe I will make there someday.

Foote, I got in so much trouble because I went to Vegas that I am now doing whatever I want in retaliation. LOL

AND everyone is happy. Especially me.

I would like to return to Foxwoods someday, but don't know when.

Benny

I just read that you live in north central Pa. I lived in Wellsboro, Pa back in the early 70's on a hippy farm LOL.

Amber , that is a hoot. I was at Penn State during the hippie days. hehehehe

I actually live southwest of Wellsboro. In Benezett....home of the biggest wild elk herd east of the Mississippi. It is our only claim to fame. More elk than people.

I really enjoyed my CT adventures. too bad we didn't get to meet at FW or MS.
