There is plenty of shopping, stolling, live music and dining in the area. You could also snow shoe. You might also check at the hotel for any planned activities in the area.

Thank you for your reply. Just one more question. I am trying to find a place to spend new year's, maybe a nice restaurant. Any suggestions?

Reserve NOW!! New Years Eve books up fast. I would suggest Larkspur because you can watch the fireworks beforehand right outside their door, then have a marvelous dinner. Most restaurants/bars have a cover charge or set menu for that night and are pricey...be forewarned!!! Some will have 2 seatings, the earlier seating is less expensive, but then you'll have to bring in the new year somewhere else.

New Years week is our busiest week of the entire year. You will need reservations at most restaurants, so plan ahead.

This forum is too short to mention all there is to do. Go to www.snow.com, click on the Vail or Beaver creek links which will give you loads of info.

Hope this helps!

Consider a snowmobile trip at Camp Hale (old 10th mountain division training grounds). And Adventure Ridge at the top of Vail Mountain has some great activities such as tubing and ski biking (a great experience!). And be sure to book your New Years reservations ASAP. Larkspur is a great recommendation.
