Shuttle service: Denver to Steamboat. Suggestions needed.

Traveling with 3 adults, 2 toddlers to Steamboat in two weeks.SUV rental prices are outrageous so we've decided to start look into taking a shuttle roundtrip. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

The period around Christmas is high season for car rentals, too. Have you tried booking an SUV or other vehicle at an off airport location? With 3 adults and two toddlers in car seats, I'm not sure if you could get a large enough front wheel drive sedan to fit everyone, so I can see why an SUV might be the best choice for you. You probably already have your airline tickets, but if not you might check to see what flights you can get direct to Steamboat with a connection in say....Atlanta, Dallas, Houston....

You also might try Steamboat Central Reservations...they advertise having specially negotiated rates with several car rental companies. And here's the info I could find on a shuttle from DIA:

You will also need car seats for the toddlers, shuttles may or may not have any available, so plan on bringing your own.

FYI re: car seats and Alpine shuttle

"Under Colorado law, infants must ride in a rear-facing child safety seat until they are at least one year old and weigh at least 20 pounds. Children one to four years old who weigh 20-40 pounds must ride in a forward facing child safety seat. Children weighing over 40 pounds or who are 4-6 years old must ride in a child booster seat unless they are at least 55 inches tall. GO Alpine has a limited number of forward-facing and rear facing car safety seats, as well as booster seats available free of charge, if you request one at the time of making your reservation - but we highly recommend bringing your own car seat."
