Closest Grocery Store

Is Aspen the best choice for groceries or is there something closer to Snowmass Club?

There is a Village Market store in Snowmass but prices there are high. You can either get groceries at City Market in Carbondale or Aspen for far cheaper. City Market accepts any Kroger/Dillon savings card so that also helps.

Hi - you needn't go all the way to Carbondale, there is a large City Market in El Jebel, it's about a 30 minute drive from Snowmass Village down to it, but if you have a car it's worth it. Much better selection and prices. There's also an infinitely cheaper liquor store down there than what you find in the Village. (a bottle of wine that I pay $8.50 for at home was $19.99 (!!!!) in Sundance liquors in the Snowmass Center! It was $9.99 in El Jebel.

Agreed, Snowmass Village is HORRIBLY expensive, and limited supplies. If driving up from Denver, we stop at Safeway in Idaho Springs... very reasonable, and good selection.

The easiest thing to do is to have your groceries/liquor delivered. We've used SkiCountryGrocer.com in the past. We ordered online and the kitchen was stock before we got to our condo. Service is reliable and the prices were reasonable.

I don't know how reasonable the prices are to have them delivered if as they say in their ad they increase the price of the grocery items by 20% and then also charge a $35 service fee. Seems like if you have a car and are going past a grocery store on your way it's easy and less expensive to shop yourself. Plus, as noted if you stop at either Safeway or City Market (a Kroger store) you can use your loyalty cards for discounts, even at the gas pumps.
