Dallas Divide/Hwy. #62 from Telluride to Ouray

We'll be coming off Hwy. #145 from Telluride and crossing over Hwy. #62 to Ouray May 25. Is this highway well maintained or should we expect delays? We'll probably be driving it in the early evening. And same question about Hwy. #550 from Ridgeway to Ouray?

Both highways are very well maintained. Hwy 145 is at a higher elevation, and if we happen to receive a late spring storm it is possible to have some snow on the road --- possible, but not likely. If it happens to snow enough to stick, plows will be on the scene to clear it.

US 550 is also very well maintained, and even less likely to have snow in late May.

Off the top of my head, I'd predict the likelihood of snow on those roads in late May as about 5%. ;-)

No delays except for gawking at the scenery, and take it a little slower esp early evening in case of deer or elk. Stop at the Dallas Divide pullout for an awesome view!

Beautiful drives, fond memories, wildlife at night, so yes, watch for it, stop for a listen/look at the stream as you near Quray, take pics and don't hurry.
