Just wondering how humid the weather gets in August and if we need to shell out more cash for a room with air-con if we wish to sleep more easily...

any advice is appreciated,

Hi there,

Nowhere in Lanka AC is essential in our feeling, fan works as well though of course it gives a less luxury feeling. Humidity on coast is 90% or above so if that's a factor you might need AC for your subjective taste...

All the best,

I would opt for A/C as it is quite humid and us being from the UK were it is cool most of the year apart from this year. We are not used to the heat/ humidity. We have always had A/C when visiting Sri Lanka and always will.
