Accommodation at Grand Escape Cottages

We are two middle-aged couples needing to know whether we should pursue accommodation at Grand Escape Cottages for one night only. Has anyone stayed in these cabins and we would be appreciative of any feedback as we have not received a response to our emails. We were interested in Eagles Nest and Osprey and would like to know if these cabins are close to each other.

Any other points of interest in this area would be really appreciated.

My brother-in-law stayed in one of the cottages May 24 and 25. He said the cottage was small but clean, a little rustic for his taste. The ceilings were low for a taller person. He was in one of the cottages on the ridge. Do not think you are in a cottage in the woods. You are not. You are in the town of Grand Lake. He said the cottage was fine for his 2 nights but that he would not want to spend much time in the cottage itself or stay longer due to the limited space in the cottage.

According to their brochure, they have a 2 night minimum stay requirement. If you are trying to book during peak season, a one night stay may not be an option and may be why you have not heard from them. www.grandlakechamber.com has other lodging options.

The major point of interest in Grand Lake is that the town is adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park. There is plenty of information on the RMNP forum. The do not miss of RMNP is Trail Ridge Road. You will find this recent post very helpful.
