cabin/b&b to stay with mountain bikes..near trails

we're planning a trip in the summer, renting a car and hoping to stay somewhere cozy that has mountain bikes available and close to some great trails...any ideas?

Check out vrbo for some options. Beware of Craigslist as there have been a recent string of occurrences where scammers have posted ads for properties they do not own. Renters find out too late that they have paid money for places they cannot use to the thieves.

Is there a reason you posted in the Golden forum? Take a look at the Winter Park area or Crested Butte.

I was wondering the same thing. I split my time between Keystone and Denver. We often get to Keystone in summer and never use our car. You can access some great trails. Pretty much true for Breckenridge too.

Here is a list of other activities that 1FourFun put together.

Mtn Bike rental is all around

We don't typically ride on the mountain though Keystone rep for on Mtn riding is one of the best.

I am not sure what you mean about bikes available, as in for free? Included in the price? I am guessing that even if they offered them I doubt someone would maintain a mountain bike like a shop would. I'd not ride a bike that had not been properly maintained on single track. My 02

At Keystone there are several places that rent bikes. You'd not have to go far to get one and you can access trails from any of them.

Oh and to the advice about Craigs List. I have had good luck there. Shoot recently some pretty high end resorts offer special rates like the Sitzmark Lodge at Vail! Rates that they don't want offered on their web sites I guess?

But like all things buyer beware. I'd not rent from anyone who I could not talk to on the phone, or is unwilling to take time to answer all questions, or anyone outside the USA, Ads that have pictures are better than images I have been told.

True that owner direct is not for all but personally I have rented that way many, many times all with good to great results. I find spammers are pretty easy to spot.
