The attraction in Glenwood

Hi, I plan to visit Maroon Bells on September.

This is my plan:

Amtrak or Greyhound from Denver to Glenwood Springs

Stay one night in Glenwood Springs

From Glenwood Springs to Maroon bells the next day.

Is the plan correct?

Q1: Do you recommend any hotel or B&B? Not expensive and good one. I don't have any companion. Hope it's a good location for me to go Maroon bells or downtown,

Q2: Where can I visit in Glenwood Springs with public transportation?

Q3: Is there any public transportation from Glenwood to Haning Lake?

Remember the bus to Maroon Bells only runs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in September.

Less expensive place to stay in Aspen

Public Bus Service in Aspen

Inexpensive motel in Glenwood Springs with a location close to attractions

There is no public transportation to the Hanging Lake Trailhead. You can rent a shuttle/bike ride combination for the Glenwood Canyon Recreation Path and hike from the Hanging Lake Trailhead along the route.

Glenwood Springs does have inexpensive public bus service to get you around town. You can visit Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and the Glenwood Hot Springs.

Some of the rafting companies may still be rafting the Colorado River out of Glenwood Springs in mid-September.

If possible, I'd take Amtrak. It is a beautiful trip.

The bus only makes one stop - at the Ramada Inn in Glenwood Springs, right in the center of town.
