Three nights open, Durango?

We three nights open and were thinking of heading to Durango to see Mesa Verde originally starting in Denver. How should we spend our time?

From there we have have 4 nights booked in Frisco and 3 nights in Estes Park were we plan to hike and such.

Since it is quite a drive to SW Colorado, I'd take a night from Frisco and add it to SW Colorado. Most visitors spend a full day at Mesa Verde, or an afternoon/evening and till mid afternoon the next day if you stay in the park at Far View Lodge.

Did you also want to ride the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge train? There's great hiking around Ouray, Telluride, Silverton and Durango, too. Jeep tours are another great thing to do in the area.
