Tips for May please - weather & walking

Any guidance on what weather to expect mid May please and what the trails around the town might be like for light walking at that time of year?

In May you need to be ready for anything - from a blizzard to sunny and 70 degrees.

The trails around Crested Butte will probably still be wet and snowy. Best bet for hiking will be down in Gunnison at Hartman's rocks recreational area

Yes, be prepared for anything, and sometimes all kinds of weather on the same day!

Most of the trails in the nearby Curecanti National Recreation Area should be good in May. (i.e. Neversink, Dillon Pinnacles)

Here's a link to visitor information for Gunnison/Crested Butte hiking page. Depending on the weather, some of the trails might be dry enough for walking by mid May. cbokie, wouldn't the Recreation Path be walkable?
