hilton properties/ski lodges?

Anyone know of any good hilton propertis/ski lodges near a really good spot for BRAND NEW skiers? Hubby, myself and a 3 year old. So, we're looking for family fun, easy ski slopes with lessons and with something to do at night besides go back to the room. Any ideas? What city would be best to fit that description? Thanks in advance

Please read the posts here about Breckenridge and Summit County Colorado, including the resorts of Keystone and Copper Mountain. All three mountains have lots to offer. Copper is less crowded but does not have a town, per se. The runs are arranged so that beginners are on one side of the mountain, intermediates in the middle and experts at the top. Keystone has a reputation for being a good beginners mountain. Breckenridge has lots of green runs, but tends to get more visitors than the other resorts.

Breckenridge has the only real "town" with shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. It is more similar to Steamboat, Aspen, Telluride, etc., in that regard.

Hilton has a resort in Breckenridge; it's called Valdoro. I've not stayed there so can't give you any recommendation on it. But look it up elsewhere on TripAdvisor. It gets high marks.

Breckenridge would be a great place to stay with a variety of ski slopes, lessons, and stuff to do at night. (As a first time skier, though, after your first day you may want nothing more than to sit in the hot tub!).
