Free Summer Music in Boulder

For those of you traveling to Boulder this summer, be sure to check out the free music venues. There are a lot of options, but two that we particularily enjoy, and visited this week are:

Thursday nights Rhythm on The Rails in Niwot. It is a free out door concert with great bands. It is about 8 miles from the Boulder city limits to the northeast. There is a bus from Boulder that goes within a block or two of the park (Whistle Stop Park) where the concerts are held.

Saturday night at 29th Street Mall: An outdoor free concert with great bands. This is at an outdoor shopping mall and the road between the stores is roped off for people to bring chairs and sit.

Take your own chairs or blanket to both (or sit on the lawn in Niwot or the cement in Boulder). You can purchase food, wine and beer at both events.

Have fun,
