pub food

we are looking at staying in beaver creek village and recognise that it is a bit of an upmarket place but would ideally like a burger and beer type place for evening meals - not really into the swanky type places and not really sure i want to spend $30+ for food every night. do these sort of place exist in the beaver creek village?

thanks

I love Blue Moose Pizza! It's awesome!

Between Vail and BC (well, a little out of the way), is a little town called Minturn. There is a small cafe/bakery there, Sticky Fingers - they have really really good sandwiches/coffee/snacks.

This place has pretty good HH too: http://www.richardsandoval.com/mayabc/

(I always get really hungry right after skiing anyways, so can't be bothered to wait for dinner time alot of times)

We too pack alot of snacks, and get a six-pack of beer, chips, cheese, nuts etc for the evening.

I thinkt he Comfort Inn at Avon is more than functional, we always stay there and never been disappointed.

Fianlly, there is plenty of options for burgers in Vail - and you should DEFINITELY spend a day skiing there! I believe there are buses between BC & Vail?

We like this place there: http://bartnyetis.com/Home.html

PS: You can grab free granola bars at the ticket sales windows. And shop for groceries at supermarkets.

Oh, and for beer, and the best of US pop culture, go to Beaver Liquors :-)

The best burger in the village is at Golden Eagle and priced correctly, Bob's Place in Avon is quite good just down the hill. I also like the Sliders at Dusty Boot in the village.

We fell in love with this alternative to Blue Moose (two locations, one off of I-70 in Vail, one in Edwards - that one is bigger/nicer for on-site eating):

Great stuff!!!!

Throwing out one more suggestion, also in Edwards.

Crazy Mountain Brewery. A start-up, small micro-brew with a really nice tasting room, very laid back atmosphere and a food truck with cheap food. Even if you don't go all the way to their brewery, try their beer while you're here (and the more famous CO beer New Belgium)

I promise, this is my last one :-)

We're staying in Bachleor Gulch, condos next to the Ritz. (no car) How can we get into Avon from there on public transportation? Do we have to take the free BC shuttle van to the bus stop in BC town, change buses to Avon? What an inconvenience. Do buses to Avon run on a chedule? Are they free?

I sit possible to take one bus from the Ritz C. into Avon? and will we be able to get to a supermarket in Avon from Ritz C?

THANKS.

I'm not sure where the Ritz is, but there is a "restaurant shuttle" that runs between Avon and BC in the evenings.

Yes, there is a supermarket in Avon (City Market and Safeway).

There is only a City Market in Avon and they do deliver https://www.citymarket.com, the zip for the Avon store is 81620. You may also check with your concierge about a complimentary shuttle to bring you to Avon and back.
