Is there still snow in lake tahoe? Where can I make my kids play with snow at lake tahoe during memorial day weekend?

There should still be snow at the top of Squaw. Last year it was there in August even. This year it will probably be gone by the end of June if not earlier.

I assume you are driving in using I-80? At Donner Summit you should be able to find snow. Soda Springs, Boreal and even the rest stop at the summit you should be able to find a little snow to play with.

You can monitor the resort web cams to see what's out there:

Not sure what you are expecting in terms of snow play. You miight be able to play in the patches but I wouldn't plan on being able to sled or anything.

Even without snow I'd still check out Squaw Valley's High Camp.

While there may be snow at the resorts, the lifts will likely not be operating by Memorial Day Weekend. So it depends on what you mean by playing in the snow. You will probably be allowed to walk up to the snow and make snowballs but the resorts would probably not let you sled down the hills even if there is some snow. It's a liability thing.
