For StateRef and Other Travelers: River Rd. Now Open to the...

You can once again get to Armstrong Woods, Korbel Cellars and the Coast from #101 via River Rd. It was closed for days east of Guerneville due to a mudslide, but now both lanes are restored. We're having continued rain off and on, but not the super heavy storms that came thru earlier--so everyone is hoping the flooding and slides will not become an issue again. But be really careful while driving as many of the country roads in Sonoma County, altho passable, still have quite a bit of water on them. All the tasting rooms have their normal schedules and it's a great time to visit them as you can get lots of personal attention with less people there!

Thanks, Forestvillian!

We fly tomorrow to SFO. Copia Center on Saturday. Lake Tahoe (with tire chains I'm bringing along)the next 7 days. Will be in Santa Rosa on the 27th. We will be using the River Road quite a bit then.

The posters made our decision easy, for dinner on the 27th - Zin. Reservation already made.

See you on the 29th.

Excellent, StateRef--we're having dinner at Zin this Sat! Maybe you can also go next door for the food/wine pairing at Mayo Family's tasting room. And Bottle Barn has that new tasting room there (340 Center St.) in Healdsburg, too. On Fridays they're supposed to be pouring till 9pm with select premium varietals from around the world highlighted--sounds very interesting!

Have a very enjoyable trip and see you at Dutton on the 29th. Hope we'll get some sunny weather by then, too!
