Car hire from Santa Monica to San Francisco - 3 days

Can anyone tell me the cheapest medium size car hire for three days for 4 adults. We are travelling from Santa Monica to San Francisco on the following dates 3/4/13 to 5/4/13. We want a quote inclusive of taxes and insurances. Its all so confusing in California.

Where are you from? Most people in the UK and Australia use third party sites like Carhire3000.com

Hi narelle

Also look at the .co.au or the .co.uk websites for the big name car rental companies, TravelJigsaw, and maybe Flight Centre. They'll offer all inclusive rentals and they'll write your dates in your usual method rather the way we write them here. 3/4/13 = March 4, 2013 in the US. Pay close attention so you don't end up renting a car from March 4th to May 4th.

Details about the lovely drive from L.A. to San Francisco (abbreviated SF) are included in the Top Questions about California in the upper right of the California state forum page: tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g28926-i29-Califor… Be sure you have lodging reservations.
