Humm. Does no one drive or want to drive in the US ? You could rent a mini-van or a larger van for less than 100 bucks if you have a lot of luggage one way and drive from SM to LV. Hiring a van with driver may be quite expensive.

No ones keen to drive on the otherside of the road. We're really looking for a shuttle service that is a small bus so it's basically only our group

Have not heard of a small shuttle bus service that would drive so far!

It is about 5hrs. on the road!

We have lots of visitors from the UK and Oz who manage driving but if you are under 25 then renting a vehicle will be difficult.

There are normal bus services and flights.

LOTS of flights. To see our low cost internal airline you must use their own web site:

Good luck with your trip!

You'll want to fly to Vegas, there are no "shuttle" buses.

FYI, there are more Discounts airlines than Southwest, though it is the largest.

JetBlue

Virgin America

Frontier

Spirit

One big warning about Spirit, it is known to charge fees on almost everything, including carry-on's.

So when you compare costs, make sure you take into consideration the fees in addition to the fare and taxes.

A private shuttle with driver would cost several hundred dollars, at least. Driver would need to return, too, remember. To get a quote on such an arrangement, you'd need to phone the service (e.g., Prime Time Shuttle or Supershuttle). Or do an Internet service on bus charters, etc. What the heck, hire a stretch limo and chaffeur!

I agree that driving or flying is best. You can find most airlines flying that route by looking at both Southwest's site and then a site such as Expedia that will show most if not all others (fares can vary, so no need to look just at those known as discount). Southwest, Spirit, Amrican, Delta and United all fly LAX-LAX non-stop. You could also go by Greyhound or Amtrak (Amtrak bus from Union Station), but flying is so fast and not expensive. The drive is not bad-- boring, but not bad, as long as you avoid rush hour.
