Suggestions for 7 days in Santa Barbara

Staying the 7 days because better rate at Harbour House Inn - understand close to beach and temps in high 60s so looking forward to stretching out and reading (if not swimming). Won't have car and interested in some gentle walking or bus trips - more interested in natural beauty and to a certain extent in Missions. We're a couple of senior ladies so gentle and quiet rather than faster paced social life. Appreciate any suggestions - also affordable dinner eating places in vicinity of Harbour House.

Here is the timetable for the line 22 route.

Also here is a more general map of the routes.

Bus is more affordable. Trolley tour would be more social. There is also a Duck tour but I couldn't find a link for that.

Restaurants:

Shellfish Company at the end of the pier.

Shoreline cafe where you can eat right on the beach. Great fish tacos.

Brophy Brothers is reasonably priced for the soups and seafood baskets, the fish dishes are a little more pricey.

There are a lot of options a few blocks up state street. Taiko is good for Japanese - good Benito box lunches.

Santa Barbara's "Duck" tour is actually a "LandShark" tour!

This is probably too late, but for Italian, I would also add Ca'Dario.

Two other restaurants that tourists might miss because they are off the main drag:

Paradise Cafe (great burgers and everything is oak-grilled)just one block off State Street with a beautiful outdoor patio.

Elements Restaurant just two blocks off State Street and has a lovely outdoor veranda plus stunning views of the Courthouse.

Breakfast at the Brown Pelican at Hendry's Beach (Arroyo Burro) is another nice memory.
