Dogs allowed at Farmers Market?

We are planning to go this Thursday and are hoping Fido can walk around with us.

According to their website, a city ordinance prohibits dogs. Not surprising, I think most farmers' markets disallow dogs.

Think about it:

1. Dogs defecate and pee ad lib.

2. This is an event where food items are served

3. It would be extremely unsanitary to have the potential for flies attracted to dog poop around food and vendors would not agree to it.

4. Not everyone loves your dog. Some people are allergic

5. Dogs get into fights. Not a good situation for those strolling with children, vendors.

Don't bring your dog.
