Hotel near Cal Expo for woman traveling solo

I will be visiting Sacramento for about 3 days, alone. Any suggestions for safe hotels in the Cal-Expo area?

We like the Doubletree in that area

The rooms are comfortable and staff was nice.

The Larkspur Landing on Howe ave. gets good reviews.

The Doubletree and the Hilton, a little north across the freeway, are the two nicest hotels right in that immediate area. I always travel solo to Sacramento, several times a year, and they have always worked for me. Doubletree is closest. Both have on property restaurants so you don't have to leave if you get hungry at night (but if you do, all the restaurants in the immediate area are safe).

Doubletree gives you freshly-baked chocolate-chip cookies on arrival. Nice touch. Both Doubletree and Hilton have secured parking (for a fee). I usually park on the street outside the Doubletree parking lot though -- have never had trouble with my car parked on the street overnight.
