Airport Hotel Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good hotel by the airport under $150? I have read several reviews of some of the hotels being in "sketchy" area. Which areas should we avoid? We are looking to stay one night before an early flight.

My personal favorite very near the airport (having stayed there) is the Holiday Inn Express Sacramento Airport, in an area called Natomas.

That area --- very near the airport --- is more industrial/business, as opposed to sketchy. All of it was built on agricultural fields and near the river. The sketchy areas of hotels near the airport are more off Richards Blvd. That's south.

As Sacramento fans, we may have to ask you if you have time to visit Sacramento though, as there are decent hotels in the Midtown area (and great restaurants) that you might have time to visit the night before. They aren't far from the airport either.

Try the Holiday Inn Express Sacramento Airport if you're coming into town very late, with an early flight. It's nice and it's safe. No worries about sketchy. Just not very interesting out near the airport. Good place to sleep overnight for an early flight though.

Have a good trip.
