Where to eat in Arden West?

Going for business next month and want to find a couple of affordable places to eat near the Hilton Sacramento Arden West. Thanks!

Will you have a car?

Yes we will have a car. Prefer walking distance if possible, but glad to hear all!

It is hopeless for walking. Too far to walk to comfortably for a meal.

I supposed you don't want to go too far. There are a bunch of eateries along Arden Way, either as part of the Arden Mall or across the street along Arden Way. For example: El Torito (Mexican), Olive Garden (Italian), Cheese Cake Factory, Hooters :), Coco's, Mimi's Cafe, Apple Bee's, IHOP, Dos Coyotes, California's Pizza Kitchen, etc...

Plus endless number of chained fast foods like McDonald's, Burger King, etc..

About 2 to 3 miles of driving away. Not too far by car. Too far to walk to.

The only place to get food that is walking distance from there is the Wonderbread/Hostess Brands outlet store...probably not what you have in mind. ;-)

If you drive east (left) on Arden Way you will find the restaurants that HappyFeet mentioned. These are mostly near the Arden Fair Mall. It is 'walking distance' (about a mile) but you would be walking from a rather industrial area and through an interchange of 1 major surface street and 2 freeways...not a pleasant walk.

To that list I would add:

Elephant Bar

BJ's

Taro's by Mikuni (local Sushi chain)

If you are looking for local flavor you will probably want to head to Downtown/Midtown.

What is an 'affordable' price to you? How many dollars per person? with or without drinks?

If you are going in July, check to see if your dates coincide also with the California State Fair

Ton of places to eat at the fair and fun as well - its a way to mix in some fun with that business trip if you are lucky enough to be here when the fair is going on.

For affordable and good go with Dos Coyotes in the Arden Fair mall. Expect to spend $7-12 per person for food. It is tex-mex and there are lots of fresh salsas to choose from. In the same part of the mall is Taro's, a local sushi restaurant. They have really good rolls from $8-15. Bar or table seating available.
