Golden Haven is good. They are all pretty much the same, you are naked in a bathtub of mud. Your skin feels wonderful afterwards. The only one that is different is Solage, where they do a couples "mudslide" mixing ingredients together for you and your husband to use.

Indian Springs Resort is wonderful! You will be able to use their Olympic-sized mineral pool until 5:30 with your spa treatment there. :)

Golden Haven and Indian Springs both do mudbaths. Golden Haven is a relatively cheap upgraded motel. Indian Springs is a beautiful property with little cabins on the edge of Calistoga, but it's much more expensive.

Please be sure to ask if the facility offers couples baths.

Many spas in Calistoga are divided into 2 sides: boys, and girls-- which is fun for girl getaways, but seriously *un*-romantic if you are going as a couple (ie, you are separated, and cannot share any of the experience together!).

Golden Haven and a few others specialize in couples mudbaths, in private rooms.

If you're just going alone, it really doesn't matter much-- but for a couples experience, it's really good to ask ahead of time, to make sure you won't be separated for the whole thing. :)

Cheers,
