Favorite swimming holes, rope swings or cliff jumps

We will be in Redding this weekend with our two adventurous teenage boys and we are looking for fun things to do with them. Whiskeytown lake seems to have rope swings and cliff jumping. Clear Water Creek looks like it has a cliff jumping spot, too. Can anyone tell us the exact locations?

Thanks!

You probably won't find much info on local 'jumps' due to liability. There are some places, but I personally would be hesitant to publicize them for fear of being sued if 'something' should happen to your two wonderful boys or to others that might follow directions to local jumps. Better to be safe than sorry. Most of the creeks in the area are full of rocky areas and shallows. Same with Whiskeytown Lake/Whiskey Creek. Especially after the warm winter and low snow levels.

Really? This is annonymous. No one is going to sue because of advice they got on s travel forum.

The Redding forum has few posters who are local or know the area well. I suspect that if they happen to see this post they might prefer to keep their local swimming spots secret.

You'd be surprised what a subpoena will do. No one is anonymous anymore. But you're right also. Although I no longer live in Redding, we had a few favorite places known 'only to us' (LOL) on Clear Creek back in the day.
