Dune Biking.

We want to go dune biking at the end of this month at Pismo beach. We have never done this before, how feasible is it for a 7, 13 & 14 year old to do this safely and does anyone know where and who to rent from? Do you rent daily or for the weekend and if you are staying in a hotel and rent for a weekend where would you store them? Thanks for any advice.

By "dune biking", I assume you mean motorized dirt bikes?

There are two rental companies to choose from:

Steve's ATV Rentals (www.stevesatv.com) (805) 489-1000

BJ's ATV Rentals (805)481-5411

There's also dune buggy rentals:

The dunes are very popular with visitors. They're also dangerous. Stay safe and ask the ATV rental agency for safety tips while in the dunes and OBEY them. What I do know is this: NEVER ride toward the east. This is where most of the fatal/serious injuries occur. Apparently the drop offs are so sheer that many inexperienced riders fall to their doom or crash into an innocent rider who IS riding in the right direction.

How about a nice Hummer ride instead: www.pacificadventuretours.net

Bi-plane ride:
