DInner in Pasadena

We are staying in Pasadena for two nights. Never been there and have no idea about sites and restaurants during our free afternoon and evening. Suggestions needed for both, primarily a good restaurant for dinner. We'll have a car.

Narrow it down a little to the type of food you're looking, budget, etc.

We like Cafe Santorini and Parkway Grill. Otherwise just walk around Old Town and you'll see plenty of options.

Old Town Pasadena has well over 100 restaurants. This web site will give you an idea of what there is to offer. Lots of possibilites.

That said, some of our favorites:

Late Night Eats; Cheesecake factory

Italian; Il Fornaio

Tea: Tea Rose Garden

Wine and Live Music (some hours): Red, White and Bluezz

Wine, not live Music: Verticle Wine Bistro

Tapas: La Luna Negra

This was just to give you some idea of the wide range that is there.

Tell us more about what type of atmosphere, cuisine, price range

and we can probably fine tune this to your tastes.

Norton Simon Museum is a wonderful, smaller museum right adjacent to Old Pasadena. Great collections, and a nice interior garden with sculptures.Old Pasadena (several blocks near intersection of Colorado Blvd and Fair Oaks) is an attractive, lively district of restaurants and shops and theaters.

Do you have any particular interests? Kinds of thing you like to do?

In Old Pasadena--

Cafe Bizou. AKA American Bistro. Cafe Santorini.

The nearby San Gabriel Valley is the epicenter of Asian (primarily Chinese) culture, shopping and dining in the USA. Maybe a 15 minute drive to Del Mar/Valley which has a major Asian shopping center and other busy shopping nearby. Let me know if that interests you. Also lots of unusual regiional Asian cooking.
