Knitting Shops around Palo Alto?

I am traveling to Palo Alto on business but will have some free time. Are there any knitting shops in the area and are any open in the evening? Thanks

You have probably come and gone by now, but just in case... We had a wonderful shop with an incredibly smart, fun, and creative proprietress in Menlo Park, The Knitter's Studio, but it closed several years ago, and nothing else comes close. (That's what happens to small shops, be it knitting, books, or coffee, when people check out the wares locally and then buy from Amazon or other large nonlinear retailers). However, there is one interesting shop that is worth a visit. It's a couple of miles north in Redwood City, located in the proprietress's log-cabin-style home. There is a large 2-story open area surrounded by a long staircase that goes up and around, and gorgeous hand-spun/ hand-dyed yarns are draped over the length of the bannister. Call for hours. I believe she will also arrange to open to accommodate one's availability, in addition to her regular hours. The shop name is Amazing Yarns, in Redwood City, CA. Google it!

An OK regular shop is Uncommon Threads in Los Altos, CA, just south of Palo Alto.
