Canyons

In the Things to Do column, listed is Indian Canyon,Agua Caliente Indian Canyon,Coachella Valley Preserve, Palm Canyon, and Tahquitz Canyon. Can you tell me the differences in these canyons? If time only allows for one, which should I visit? I want to see the big palm trees.

I would go to the indian canyons. Once inside the indian canyons after paying the fee you will find a few canyons(Andreas,Murray,Palm...)My favorite is Murray up to the Seven Sisters Falls. Pics

Tahquitz Canyon is also on tribal land in a different area of Palm Springs. Its nice too.Better in spring when there is runoff.

The Coachella Preserve is on the other side of I-10, out on the other side of the valley. It too has groups of palm groves, and you can see where water bubbles up from the faultline. A nice hike is to Mc Callum Pond, which looks like an oasis you see in movies.Pics

When is this trip? The indian canyons and Tahquitz are on summer schedule until October. The preserve is open all year and free.

Thank you for the pics. I am going May 2015. Is the summer schedule because it's hot?
