Honeymoon and weather

Hi I am completely ignorant as far as these things are concerned. I like the idea of palm springs for a honeymoon but am worried about the weather in july! Any comments on this would be great, plus if you know of any great honeymoon locations in PS or elsewhere, that would be great, thanks!

If you love staying inside, and venturing outside to swim at night, then Palm Springs might work. The restaurants are air conditioned. But you'll need to expect 120 degree weather...venturing out for even a couple of hours can wear one out....

The good news is that you can get some exceptional hotel/room deals in Palm Springs in the summer.

For example, La Quinta is very nice. You can get a Deluxe Poolside/Private Patio for $275.00 (in the peak season its $510.00).

In July it's usually around 102-110, not 120 and there is a difference. The locals are outside during the day, as are many toursits, there is very little humidity here and it's not necessary to only swim at night. Yes, you should dress very lightly even in the evening, and most restaurants haven ot only a/c but misters to keep you cool. So do some hotel pool areas.

Are you looking for a quaint Inn near the Village or a newer deluxe hotel ?

The locals are acclimitized.

Someone from Seattle is not.

Its not a place to honeymoon in July unless you like to be inside during the day.
