Want to take wife for 3 nights in February.
Can y'll recommend properties with: nice pool, fewest number of kids (under the age of 30?), nicely appointed rooms, dog friendly but not a must, fewest number of kids. Price point is open. Did I forget to mention we are leaving our teenagers at home and would prefer to not meet anyone elses?

7 helpful votes We like the Chase Hotel, located one block from the middle of PS, so great for walking to restaurants. We've only seen adults there, but there could be kids Easter week. They have a nice breakfast in the morning, pool is very relaxing and quiet.

We spent last week in a private home in Palm Desert: vrbo.com listing # 218281. Quiet, extremely private, a few kids next door, but we never heard them, heated pool and spa in private backyard, dogs allowed, excellent owner to deal with. Reasonable rates. (And no, I'm not the owner!) We just had such a great time that I want to recommend it. The place has everything you'd want: well stocked with linens, CDs, DVDs, great barbecue grill.
Oops. I didn't read carefully enough. She may rent for three nights if the house isn't booked, but she usually rents for the week. Sorry.

43 helpful votes La Quinta Resort and Spa--dog friendly--must rent a room with a private patio or enclosure. Lots of pools. Not too many kids.
Thank you for this. We have a family member that has a lovely house (similar to what you describe) that is ours for the asking when not rented but this time, we want to be pampered. No laundry duties or clean up after ourselves. Thank you.
We have stayed at the Chase Hotel. It is nice and they do allow dogs. They also allow kids though. There were mostly adults when we were there and it is super close to all the shops and restaurants.
