Getting from Oakland hotel to SF hotel

Considring staying two nights at the Homewood Suites Oakland Airport or Marriott downtown Oakland for two nights before mvoing to a pricier hotel in SF, where we'll be for 5 nights for a meeting. What's the best way to go? Back to the airport and take a shuttle, or just taxi? Any shuttles that would go between two non-airport locations? Tried Supershuttle's Web site and it didn't work for Oakland to SF non-airport.

Back to the airport and take AirBART bus to the Coliseum station, then transfer to BART to your San Francisco stop. $3 for the AirBART and $3.85 for BART to Powell St. Station in SF. This would probably be quicker than taxi or shuttle and cheaper, for sure!

For two nights I wouldn't stay at OAK as there is nothing in the area. If you must, stay in downtown Oakland. From there you can easily catch BART to downtown SF.

Are you flying into OAK?

I'd stay downtown Oakland, then take BART to SF.
