Should we fly into San Fran or Sacramento to get to Napa?

We are coming to Napa in October for our anniversary and are trying to plan whether to fly into San Francisco or into Sacramento and then drive to Napa. Any suggestions? Which is most scenic and is there a time difference in travel time from either place? Thank you so much :)

We flew out of the Sacramento airport to Maui and loved this airport! Very easy access, minimal crowds and traffic. Enjoy your time in the wine country! :)

a bit late responding but being someone that has flown the valley a lot, wanted to add my two cents. Sacramento is an easy airport and the drive to the valley is less congested, but not scenic. From SFO you can cross the G.Gate but that means going through the city and dealing with traffic delays. You can cross over to Oakland and up thru Vallejo but again, traffic. We normally fly into Sacramento and head directly to the valley. When leaving, we normally fly out of SFO but that is a matter of timing. The last direct UAL flight to HOU from SMF is usually at noon while we can leave later from SFO (ie 4pm). That gives us more time to enjoy the valley. It is a bit further milage wise SMF, but takes about the same time due to less traffic. Either way, you are heading to the valley, so enjoy.
