Napa Trip with Toddlers - Suggestions

We are thinking about a trip to Napa with our 2 small kids. We will have a family member with us and are looking for a hotel where they would be able to swim and do some kid activities while we visit some wineries. Also one day we would all like to go out together to a family friendly winery or to some fun family places. Any advice on a family friendly hotel (with pool) and other activities is greatly appreciated.

A little north of St Helena is Wine Country Inn, a wonderful place about a half mile east of Hwy 29. They have a very nice pool for the kids, and if they're old enough to ride bikes, they could even ride near the inn. You can find them online at www.winecountryinn.com. We've stayed there 4-5 times over the years, so we're obviously huge fans.

If you're looking for something in the town of Napa, I can't help, but the entire valley is only about 25-30 miles long, so the inn is actually closer to most of the wineries anyway.

Check out Cline, which has a collection of animals, a fish pond, picnic tables and lots of room to roam. Nearby Larson Family Vineyard is well set up for kids: a table with coloring books, picnic tables and bocce court.

Consider Silverado Resort & Spa. Family friendly resort, with plenty of attractions for grown-ups too ... two 18 hole golf courses, tennis, spa, on-site restaurants & bars and 10 swimming pools across the property. Lots of variety in accommodations. If you're visiting soon, they are running a kids summer camp. Close to Silverado Trail and the wineries.
